About Newton Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast . . .
We moved to Newton Farmhouse in August 2005 from London with our 3 children. Since moving here, we have increased their family with the addition of Poppy the bearded collie, Guinness the cocker spaniel, 20 odd chickens and 4 sheep. We endeavour to provide you with a very warm welcome in a home environment, whilst not compromising our professional obligation to provide all our guests with a relaxing and enjoyable stay in our home.

There are 9 rooms, 7 doubles, 6 of which have four poster beds (5 antiques) and a double room with a kingsize bed in the garden rooms. There are also two twin rooms (2 single beds). The two double rooms in the garden rooms have an interconnecting door which is ideal for family occupation.
The Breakfast Room

Although the house has been extensively altered over the years by previous owners and ourselves, it still retains such features as flagstone floors, exposed oak beams, an original bread oven in the inglenook fireplace and a well inside the breakfast room.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory between 8 and 9 am Monday-Saturday and 9-10 on Sundays. A full English breakfast, plus a selection of freshly prepared fruit, yoghurt and cereals are available together with pastries, cakes, toast and tea or coffee.
From May-October, only two night bookings are taken at the weekends and only three night bookings at Bank Holiday weekends, including Easter and Christmas.

The Grounds

In the garden we have a trampoline and outdoor swimming pool, which guests are welcome to use. We do ask that all children, regardless of age, are supervised when using either the trampoline or the swimming pool and guests do swim at their own risk. Whilst the pool is available for guests, it can only be used if David or Lizzie are on the premises.

Our Location

Because of our proximity to Salisbury, Stonehenge, the New Forest, Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Wilton and many other places of interest, we are ideally placed for both business and pleasure. We are particularly popular with guests wanting to escape from London as we are only between 1½-2 hours from London. We have parking for 9 cars and can house bicycles securely for the energetic.
The City of Bath is just 50 miles away. Gatwick airport is approximately 2 hours away, with Heathrow just 1 1/4 hours, Southampton airport is 25 minutes away and Bournemouth airport 35 minutes.
