How the months seem to pass, the start of a new year and that means that planning is well under way for the 2017  Salisbury International Arts Festival, which runs from the 26th May – 10th June 2017.

Over the past three years the Festival has been inspired by the points of the compass, looking North to the Nordic regions in 2014, East to the arts and culture of the Middle East in 2015, and South to New Zealand in 2016. In 2017 we will embark upon the final leg of our journey, looking to the West as inspiration for our programme.

In his final year as Festival Director, Toby Smith announced that next year’s theme will look westwards, taking inspiration from the sunset, and celebrating the arts and culture of the French-Canadian province of Québec.

Six spectacular Highlight events are now on sale, boasting an eclectic mix of classical music, folk, jazz, circus and dance, with exciting new names taking their place alongside previous Festival favourites.
